TNA bans chairshots to the head

Following (and perhaps because of) Mr. Anderson’s concussion due to an errant chairshot the back of the head courtesy of Jeff Hardy, TNA has banned chairshots to the head.  This follows the WWE’s announcement of the same several months ago.  We here at the 1/8th Nelson have said that we believe a chairshot, if sold properly, can work just as well to the back as it could from the head.

Of course, this new policy directly contradicts the theme of last week’s Impact in which the two forces “in charge” of the company – Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair – laughed off Mr. Anderson’s concussion when argued by Matt Morgan.  But you know what?  I’m completely willing to give TNA a pass on this one (for a change) as I cannot taunt them for such an important ruling.

Way to go, TNA.
