Concussions = RATINGS!: TNA Impact 10/28/10

Now three weeks into the new regime of TNA, Eric Bischoff is still on his mission to destroy all those against him.  This week it was Mr. Anderson, whom he placed into a “chain match” against Jeff Jarrett.  The ‘head trainer’ came into Bischoff’s office and warned against allowing Anderson to compete, since he suffered a concussion on last week’s show.  Both Bischoff and Ric Flair basically laughed in the trainer’s face, saying that wrestlers wrestle hurt all the time, and tell him that this is not the NFL.  Man, they can say that again.

The concussion thing also bugged Matt Morgan (rather inexplicably), who went to both Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff to lecture them on the dangers of concussions (despite admitting that he himself gave Hernandez a concussion a while back).  Finally, when it was time for the match (which I missed, since the entire main event was on Reaction), Morgan tried to convince Jarrett himself to not go through with the match.  When Jarrett also laughed at Morgan, he decided to step in and take Anderson’s place in the match.  Anderson himself did not appear on the show.

The match (basically a leather strap match with a chain used instead) was pretty basic stuff with Jarrett winning with the Stroke after he dodged the Carbon Footprint and used the chain to crotch Morgan.  Morgan came back and began choking Jarrett until Fortune entered the ring and attacked their now former teammate.  The show ended with Morgan being hung over the ropes from the chain.

Rest of the show after the jump.
