New Stars, Bad Poetry & A Regal Breakup – ECW: 12/1/09

Sorry for missing the last few weeks but I’ll see if I can catch you up:

Ryder and Mendes are together, Benjamin gets ECW Title Shot, Christian/Benjamin are going to steal the show at TLC, The Hurricane sent the Burchills packing, Vance Archer still dominating, Matt Hardy was guest on Abraham Washington Show, fans love Tony Atlas, Yoshi Tatsu’s still amazing, William Regal & Vladimir Kozlov got owned by Big Zeke after wrongful accused and ring announcer Lauren Mayhew has been MIA.

There, I think that covered it.  Now on to show: Read more of this post

Regal Gets His Title Match In The U.K.

The night started off with ECW’s own late night talk show, The Abraham Washington Show with special guest Yoshi Tatsu. Due to the kind of hecticness of the show I’ll sum it up as quickly as possible.

Lauren Mayhew announces Tony Atlas who announces Abraham Washington. Abe makes the easy joke on British oral hygiene, Tony laughs, Yoshi Tatsu arrives and explains he doesn’t speak English well, Abe and Tastu share uncomfortable chain of “thank you’s”, Tony laughs, Rush Hour reference made, Tony laughs, Tatsu laughs like Tony, Abe ends the show in frustration telling Tatsu to wave bye, Tatsu bows, Abe and Tony leave, Tatsu waves bye. Whew!

Christian’s In For A Royal Pain In England

The evening opened with ECW Champion Christian coming out to the ring wanting retribution for the brutal attack he suffer the week prior at the hands of William Regal and his Ruthless Roundtable.  He demanded Regal come out and face him in the ring.  The champ didn’t quite get who he expected as GM Tiffany made her way to the ring.

Trying to maintain some sense of order, Tiffany urged Christian not to do anything brash as this was her fault, her responsibility and that this was exactly what William Regal wanted. Christian responded saying that Regal found a loop-hole into getting what he wanted. This did in fact bring out Regal who relished in the fact that he now had the power.

Christian demanded the two have a match. Tiffany said they were already book. Christian said change it and offer up the Title Match. Tiffany gave in. Regal said…no?

A Fuming Regal Continues His Extreme Rampage

The evening opened with the introduction of an introduction. No kidding, new ring announcer Lauren Mayhew introduced Tony Atlas who then introduced Abraham Washington.

The special guest of the night was none other than ECW GM Tiffany. This meant that not only would the hard-hitting questions be asked but that Abraham Washington would run his mouth less (his words).

Abe’s series of questions went as follows after making it quite clear that Tiffany is in fact “hot”:

1. What was with the lack of ECW involvment in that Sunday’s PPV Event Bragging Rights?  Answer:  The statement was absurd as that even though no current ECW superstars were involved that night, a good majority of the performers at Bragging Rights got their start in the ECW ring or made their impact in WWE while in ECW.

2. What’s up with “that jacked up Irish Ronald McDonald” moving to RAW? Answer: If you don’t want to be on ECW, she doesn’t want you here either. With that said, Tiffany stated that even though she allowed Sheamus to go to RAW that he would have one final match on ECW against Shelton Benjamin.

3. How’s your arm? Answer: Healing nicely. Though that’s all she was able to say as William Regal interrupted with Kozlov and Jackson in tow imploring her one last time to give him what he wants and deserves, an ECW Championship match. She informed Regal that he doesn’t deserved a title shot and that as far as she’s concerned may never see a title match while on ECW.

Tiffany left and William Regal went crazy destroying the set of The Abraham Washington show.

Jericho Looks To Bolster Team Smackdown’s Ranks In The Land Of Extreme: ECW 10/20/09

The evening opened up with Abraham Washington with Tony Atlas in tow announcing that Raw wasn’t the only show to have quality guest hosts stating that he was ECW’s guest host of the evening.  But as guest hosts have gone he didn’t seem to have near as much control as the real thing on Raw as Unified Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho passed through looking for GM Tiffany’s office.

Tiffany was seen chatting with recently acquired Diva Rosa Mendes as Jericho entered and stated his purpose on her show that night in a gentlemanly way by asking Tiffany if he could scout some of ECW’s talent so as to build his Smackdown Seven.  Tiffany thanked him for being so respectful so as to ask and just as respectfully said “no” leaving Jericho to exit her office sulking with the only options for the evening being to go home or watch the show.

A Regal Fall…You Know It?

The results of last week were in full effect as General Manager Tiffany pitted William Regal & Zach Ryder against Yoshi Tatsu & ECW Champion Christian in tag team action in the night’s main event.  The epic battle of hero versus villain continues as the Burchill’s, Paul and Katie Lea continue the feud with the masked marvel of ECW The Hurricane.  And Big Zeke takes on Goldust.

All this and more after the jump. Read more of this post
